Lea Mock, CD(DONA) is a Certified Birth Doula, loving mother of two, and the owner of New Life Doula Services. She is also a Breastfeeding and Childbirth Educator. Lea has experience supporting women in both home and hospital settings, as well as medicated and natural births. She is certified through Doulas of North America (DONA), has completed a breastfeeding management workshop, and teaches both childbirth education and breastfeeding classes. Lea stays up to date with current evidence-based research and is an advocate for normal, family-centered birth. She knows both The Bradley Method and Hypnobabies in depth.

Lea believes that birth is a beautiful journey that a family embarks upon together, and it can leave them stronger and closer than ever before. She also believes a positive birth experience empowers ladies in all areas of their lives - as women, partners, and mothers. She is truly honored to be a part of every birth she attends. 
 



Joelene with her children. Joelene Butler, CD(DONA) is a Certified Birth Doula through DONA International, and a caring mother of two. She has been assisting women through birth since 2007, and has experience in both hospital and birth center settings. She has experience supporting families through medicated, natural, and surgical births.

Joelene believes that every birth is a unique experience. As she views it, her role as a doula is to support each family with personalized care, to achieve the best experience possible. She strives to help facilitate birth experiences that are best for the individual couple, whatever that may be. She is also committed to helping mothers initiate successful breastfeeding relationships.





Ann MyattAnne Myatt RN, BSN, IBCLC is one of New Life’s Lactation Consultants. She has been both a Lactation Consultant and Registered Nurse for over twenty years! She has her lactation certification through the International Board of Lactation Consultants (IBCLC). She provides education, and support for a variety of breastfeeding problems including helping mothers to maintain an adequate milk supply, and preventing such problems as poor latch, sore nipples, and failure to thrive. In addition to working with New Life, Anne supports women in a hospital setting, where she supports mothers who plan to breastfeed their hospitalized infants. She has also been a public health nurse and a certified childbirth educator, teaching the Lamaze method.

Even after twenty years, Anne sees her role helping families get off to the best start as a privilege. She is committed to supporting breastfeeding relationships that are healthy, safe and comfortable for both mom and baby. Anne happily breastfed both of her children. Both of them are now wonderful and intelligent adults, whom she reminds to be thankful for their healthy start in life.

 



Elena with her kids!Elena Nicolaou-Black RN, BSN, IBCLC is one of New Life’s awesome Lactation Consultants! She has 14 years experience as a labor and delivery nurse, has taught breastfeeding and childbirth preparation classes for five years, and has been a Lactation Consultant for four years. Elena’s personal struggles with breastfeeding motivated her to pursue her certification, in order to support other moms on their path to successful nursing. Currently she supports mothers with various breastfeeding challenges such as improper latch, disorganized suck, and multiples. Elena provides her clients with personalized care and is sensitive to the unique needs of each family. She enjoys sharing her expertise and feels blessed to facilitate the intimate experience between a mother and her newborn. Elena feels fortunate to have had all of her babies naturally, with a midwife. She and her loving husband enjoy raising their three delightful children . She encourages moms to trust their instincts and to believe in the power of their body’s natural process.
